You Think You’re Ready, But 2026’s Biggest Anime Will Drop a Twist That Will Wreck You

Among them is MAPPA’s Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3. While fans may think they are prepared to witness the Culling Game Arc animated, the anime is about to drop a twist that will wreck them.

For the longest time, it has looked like Ryomen Sukuna was planning something. Over the years, he has not only shown interest in Megumi Fushiguro, but also made sure never to mortally harm him. While fans had their own ideas about the developments, the anime is finally set to unveil Sukuna’s plan, as he is set to steal Megumi’s body.

Jujutsu Kaisen’s Sukuna Has Been After Megumi All This Time

Ryomen Sukuna has been interested in Megumi Fushiguro’s body from the very beginning. This was evident from Sukuna calling Megumi’s Cursed Technique a “wasted treasure.” He believed Megumi’s Ten Shadows Technique was very powerful, but did not think the Jujutsu Sorcerer was using it to its full potential.

Later in the series, Sukuna forms a Binding Vow with Yuji in exchange for healing his heart. Whenever Sukuna would chant “enchain,” he would gain control over Yuji’s body for one whole minute. The only conditions were that Sukuna wasn’t allowed to hurt or kill anyone, and Yuji would forget about the Binding Vow.

While fans did not know the purpose of the Binding Vow, evidently, it was a very early set-up for Sukuna’s plan. Not to mention, ever since, Sukuna has protected Megumi, especially during the Shibuya Incident Arc, against Mahoraga.

Sukuna is set to Steal Megumi’s Body in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3

From the beginning, Ryomen Sukuna had sensed that Megumi Fushiguro had the Cursed Technique potential and tolerance to withstand him. However, it would be bad if he too became like a cage like Yuji instead of a vessel. Hence, to make sure Megumi became a vessel, he decided to target him when his soul was the weakest.

In Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3, one of Megumi’s biggest goals would be to protect his sister Tsumiki Fushiguro and help her escape the Culling Game. Unfortunately, just as he believes that he succeeded in his mission, he will be met with a fatal twist. Tsumiki wasn’t herself, as a curse user from the past, Yorozu, had incarnated in her body.

Just as Megumi learns about this revelation, his soul is set to be left broken. Sukuna is going to capitalize on this moment and make his move. He is set to take control over Yuji’s body using the Binding Vow. He will then rip off one of his fingers and force-feed it to Megumi. With that, Sukuna will successfully transfer himself from Yuji to Megumi, making the Ten Shadows Technique user his new vessel.
