Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has officially gone interstellar after winning the 2025 GOTY award and breaking records at The Game Awards with the most wins ever for a single game. At the end of the event, fans were gifted a free “Thank You” update, which includes a ton of free new content, including new weapons, luminas, bosses, and an entirely new explorable area: Verso’s Drafts.

Accessing this new area isn’t cut and dry, however, and players will need to advance pretty far into the game to enter the new region. If you’ve already completed the game and have an endgame save file ready, you should be able to find the new area pretty quickly, but players who are still in the early stages of the game may have to put in a bit of legwork first.

How To Access Verso’s Drafts In New Clair Obscur DLC

Verso’s Drafts Are Found In Act 3

Clair Obscur‘s newest “DLC” (titled the “Thank You” update) includes a brand-new explorable area called Verso’s Drafts—not to be confused with Renoir’s Drafts, the iconic endgame area that eventually leads the Expedition to The Abyss and the infamous Simon fight. However, much like Renoir’s Drafts, Verso’s Drafts are also only accessible in Act 3 after unlocking Esquie’s ability to dive underwater.

The area is located next to Lumiere in the southern region of The Continent, to the east of Lumiere proper. Players will need to advance all the way to the final Act before being able to dive in and explore, however, so if you’re still in the early stages of the game, it will be a while before you come across this new location.

There’s much to explore inside Verso’s Drafts once you finally reach it in Act 3, with a host of new enemies, new weapons, new Luminas, and more. It’s hard to believe how much is packed into this free update, and players are sure to discover even more secrets and possibly even solve new mysteries.

The DLC includes new storylines and quests for the Expedition, and features new adventures that take the characters to never-before-seen locations, possibly even expanding their backstories and the larger lore. Further, fans can now document their journey with a brand-new photo mode feature that allows players to capture the Expedition in action, a long-awaited feature fans are sure to enjoy.

Verso’s Drafts is the biggest addition to Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 to date, and while it’s unclear if further additional content is planned in the future, the ‘Thank You’ update is sure to keep players busy for the foreseeable future.
