Predicted Arsenal line-up vs Club Brugge tonight

Arsenal take on Club Brugge in tonight’s Champions League clash on the road.

Ahead of the game, manager Mikel Arteta is likely to make multiple changes from the 2-1 win over Aston Villa.

The Spaniard has spoken about the risk of overusing some players and looks poised to rotate his squad tonight.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Predicted Line-up:

David Raya has kept four clean sheets in the European campaign and will be eyeing his fifth shutout against Club Brugge.

The defence could stay unchanged from the Villa loss. With William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes and Cristhian Mosquera out injured, Jurrien Timber and Piero Hincapie are expected to start in central defence.

Ben White is likewise assured to keep his place at right-back. Riccardo Calafiori is suspended for the weekend league game versus Wolves, and should therefore continue at left-back ahead of Myles Lewis-Skelly.

Declan Rice has already been left out of the squad due to illness. Alongside him, Martin Zubimendi and Martin Odegaard should be given a breather.

We anticipate Christian Norgaard to feature as the holding midfielder. Mikel Merino could slot into the central midfield role while Ethan Nwaneri could play as the more advanced playmaker.

In the final third, Bukayo Saka and Eberechi Eze could be rested too. Noni Madueke and Gabriel Martinelli scored in the win over Bayern off the bench. The duo could line up on the right and left wing.

Viktor Gyokeres looks set to lead the line for the Gunners. He has netted only two goals in the Champions League this term against Atletico, and will be eyeing his first European goal on the road for the club.

Predicted Arsenal line-up (4-2-3-1): Raya; White, Timber, Hincapie, Calafiori; Norgaard, Merino; Madueke, Nwaneri, Martinelli, Gyokeres.
