Paul Scholes reacts after Man Utd’s 1-1 draw vs Real Sociedad

Scholes after United’s draw at Sociedad

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has sent his reaction following the club’s 1-1 draw against Real Sociedad in the first leg of the Europa League round of 16.

The Red Devils had a tough outing against the La Liga outfit on the road. They broke the deadlock through a lovely goal from Joshua Zirkzee and looked on course for a win before an unfortunate penalty.

Bruno Fernandes was adjudged to have handled the ball in the box. Sociedad captain Mikel Oyarzabal stepped up to convert the spot-kick for the hosts.

Sociedad were by far the better team in the final phase of the game and could have easily won the game. Andre Onana made a superb save to deny them.

Speaking after the draw, Scholes was asked about United’s chances of progressing to the quarter-final stage to which he replied:

“You just don’t know what you are going to get from this Manchester United team.”

United host Sociedad in the second leg at Old Trafford next Thursday. Prior to that, they have a Premier League game against Arsenal at home on Sunday.
