Have you ever been out in public when a stranger does something that drives you instantly bats, a la Larry David?

A few years ago, on a flight to visit my sister, I was reading my book when I heard a “click.” Then, another “click.” I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. There was no way. Someone wasn’t actually clipping their nails on the plane, were they?! Slowly, I forced myself to turn around. Right there, in the middle seat, was a woman casually giving herself a manicure. And then — omg, I can barely type this — one came flying between the seats and onto my arm. A STRANGER’S NAIL!!!!!

Also, people need to quiet down at restaurants, haha. “That group keeps laughing very loudly,” I told Freddie the other day, when we tried a new alpine place. “I’ll go talk to them,” he laughed. (He didn’t.)
