Noah Cyrus Proves Her Musical Talents with ‘Love Is A Canyon’ Duet

Noah Cyrus comes from a family of talented musicians, but her latest single proves she’s capable of standing out from the Cryus clan. No longer just Miley’s sister, the singer released her second studio album, I Want My Loved Ones to Go with Me, on July 11. This week, she released the track “Love Is A Canyon” as a duet with country singer Orville Peck.

The gentle vocals and melody captured fans instantly, underscoring that musicality doesn’t just run—it soars—through the Cyrus family line. At 25, Noah’s carries a heavy music legacy, but she wears it lightly, channeling her own sound with the confidence of someone born for this.

Noah Cyrus’ new song “Love Is A Canyon” featuring Orville Peck solidifies one thing: the Cyrus family is an undeniably talented group. When older sister Miley Cyrus rose to prominence on Disney Channel’s Hannah Montana in 2006, it was obvious she’d inherited her father’s skills.

From her Disney character to her solo career, Cyrus has impressed fans with her vocal talents, becoming one of the biggest pop stars of the 2000s and 2010s. The Something Beautiful artist had big shoes to fill as her father was a prominent country artist in the 90s, with a number one album and several hits on the Billboard Hot 100.

His biggest hit was “Achy Breaky Heart,” which topped the Country Charts and reached #4 on the Hot 100. However, when Hannah Montana debuted, Miley Cyrus didn’t have to worry about living in her father’s shadow for long, as she reached instant success among the younger generation. The same could be said about her sister.

Noah Cyrus has the same rasp to her vocals that fans fell in love with on her sister’s tracks. However, with her own unique perspective, she’s able to stand on her own.

She may not be taking the pop world by storm, but it doesn’t seem like that’s what she wants. While she may be following in her famous family’s footsteps, she’s also taking a detour that feels more true to her.

Noah’s Authenticity Sets Her Apart From Her Famous Relatives

Cyrus’s new song as well as her album I Want My Loved Ones to Go with Me, is more reminiscent of Miley Cyrus’ backyard sessions than any of the original songs she’s released. On the duet, Cyrus’ vocals blend together with Peck’s effortlessly, creating a heavenly ballad that defines Cyrus’ sound.

In many ways, Cyrus’ career could have gone terribly wrong. Many have tried to live up to the musical contributions of their very famous relatives and have failed. However, Cyrus is not trying to be a massive country star or trying to follow her sister into the pop world.

Instead, she’s found a place in the folk genre where she can express her authenticity. Her music is so true to herself that there’s no way anyone could even try to put her up against her sister. Many would argue Miley Cyrus is at her strongest when she’s singing in the folk-country genre, like in her recent song “Secrets.”

However, she hasn’t been able to give up the pop star life to pursue this. Noah Cyrus, on the other hand, knows exactly who she is as an artist. Her confidence to go down her own path has made her an artist to watch with her own legacy to leave.
