Real Madrid are reportedly keeping tabs on the progress of Chelsea defender Mamadou Sarr, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes.
The 20-year-old was signed by the Blues from sister club Strasbourg last winter and was subsequently loaned out to the Ligue 1 club.
Sarr featured for the Blues during the Club World Cup earlier this summer, but he has since rejoined Strasbourg on a season-long loan.
Fichajes claim that Los Blancos are looking into the future and could bolster their ranks with a couple of centre-backs in the coming year.
Antonio Rudiger and David Alaba could be shown the exit door and Sarr has emerged as a potential transfer target for the La Liga giants.
Madrid are already working on a deal for Liverpool‘s Ibrahima Konate whose contract with the Reds expires at the end of the campaign.
They are likely to pursue another young centre-back alongside the Frenchman. It remains to be seen whether the Blues sell him.
