Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi is prepared to snub Liverpool for a move to Real Madrid next summer, according to Football Insider.
The England international was on the cusp of joining the Reds from the Eagles on September 1. A verbal agreement was reached for a transfer, but the deal broke down as Palace could not find a replacement before the deadline.
Guehi has since been linked with Liverpool on many occasions, but Football Insider claim that the centre-back has blamed the Merseyside outfit after their failure to negotiate an agreement earlier in the transfer window.
The Chelsea graduate will be a free-agent when his contract expires in June next year. He is now prepared to consider a move to Real Madrid and will reject any future advances from the Premier League holders.
Madrid could enter the transfer market for one or two centre-backs next summer. Guehi is free to negotiate a pre-contract with the La Liga heavyweights when the transfer window reopens in January.
