Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has handed a huge injury boost ahead of the Premier League clash against Newcastle United on the road this weekend.
The Gunners have suffered untimely injuries at the start of the campaign, but they have still fared well in the Premier League with 10 points from five games.
The club will be in Carabao Cup action against Port Vale on the road on Wednesday. They will then travel to St James Park to face Newcastle in the league.
Ahead of that game, Arteta has provided a boost by confirming that Martin Odegaard has returned to training and it is a matter of days before he makes his return.
The Norwegian has suffered a couple of identical shoulder injuries this campaign. In his absence, Mikel Merino, Ethan Nwaneri and Eberechi Eze have shared the duties.
Eze has been the most effective from the number 10 role and he could feature from the off against the Magpies. Odegaard is most likely to make a substitute appearance.
