Jon Stewart Claps Back at Trump On The Today Show

Jon Stewart poked fun at Donald Trump amid Jimmy Kimmel’s suspension. The Daily Show announced Thursday afternoon that the comedian would be hosting that night’s show, sparking much speculation and excitement among fans.

The show kicked off with a satirical narration, “We have another fun, hilarious administration-compliant show.” Viewers then saw Stewart shaking in mock fear while stumbling over his words and saying nothing but “good” things about the president. The host went on to air a series of clips showing Trump contradicting his own words.

Things have only escalated in the media since ABC pulled Kimmel from its lineup. This proves that no one in the industry has any interest in slowing down anytime soon. They will continue to fight until something changes.

The media aren’t the only ones who are fighting Kimmel’s suspension. A large portion of consumers have pulled their support for Disney (which owns ABC) by canceling their Hulu and Disney+ accounts. This is just the beginning of a bigger protest that is coming our way.

Our Take On Jon Stewart’s Rebuttal to Trump

Stewart clapping back at Trump was almost inevitable. Most people were spot on when they predicted what the most recent episode of The Daily Show would be about. While the segment was humorous enough, it did get a little old at the five-minute mark. I can appreciate his points, but the bit became very repetitive very quickly.

Maybe it’s because of the emotionally draining headlines about Trump vs the media that have made this segment feel a little stale. While I can appreciate everything Stewart mentioned, sometimes less is more.
