The Honkai: Star Rail 3.6 livestream is set to occur soon, and the special event is expected to reveal more official details about the new characters, banner structure, story updates, and much more. Currently, the turn-based RPG is in Version 3.5’s Phase 2, allowing players to pull for Cerydra in Honkai: Star Rail. However, the next patch’s beta tests have already started to leak information.
The leaks have already highlighted the complete gameplay kits for Evernight and Dan Heng: Permansor Terrae, the two new confirmed 5-star characters being introduced with the update. Furthermore, there have been some story updates, as well as details about the potential Version 3.6 banners, which may include the highly anticipated rerun of Castorice in Honkai: Star Rail.
Honkai: Star Rail 3.6 Livestream – Date & Time
The Update Should Be On Schedule
Developer HoYoverse has yet to make an official announcement for the special event, but based on the game’s regular schedule and previous behavior, it’s possible to speculate when it will happen. Update livestreams tend to occur two weeks before the patch arrives, on Fridays, and with each update being set six weeks apart and Version 3.6 predicted for September 24, it’s likely that the Honkai: Star Rail 3.6 livestream will occur on September 12 in the morning.
It’s worth noting that the previous livestream occurred on a Saturday, however, so there is a chance that the Version 3.6 livestream will happen on September 13, in the morning. The exact date and time of the event will be shared by HoYoverse on the official social media accounts for the game. The livestream itself should be broadcast on the game’s official channels on Twitch and YouTube.
What To Expect From Honkai: Star Rail 3.6 Livestream – New Characters & Leaked Banners
Castorice & Anaxa May Rerun
HoYoverse has already confirmed the two new characters, but the Honkai: Star Rail 3.6 character banner leaks have provided a better sense of when they may be introduced. Based on the leaks and the order of the drip marketing announcements, Evernight is slated for release in Phase 1 banners. Evernight is a 5-star Ice character on the Path of the Remembrance.
There are rumors that Evernight may powercreep Tribbie because, aside from the role of a sub-DPS in team comps, she can enhance the damage output of all memosprites in the party, making her a valuable ally for Castorice and Aglaea, for example. However, more recent versions of the beta tests indicate that she may operate as a main DPS, possibly even substituting Castorice in her own team comp.
The rumors also say that Castorice may rerun in Version 3.6, and given her synergy with Evernight, it’s likely that she will rerun in Phase 1 banners, as well. This is a great chance for players to get what is considered the best Honkai: Star Rail character of 2025, increase her Eidolon levels, or perhaps obtain her signature Light Cone.
Phase 2 is expected to see the debut of Dan Heng: Permansor Terrae, the Chrysos Heir form of Dan Heng. Permansor Terrae is a 5-star Physical character following the Path of the Preservation. According to the leaks about him, he will be a shielder for team comps, though it’s unclear if he’ll be as good as Aventurine. There are also rumors of a Permansor Terrae giveaway in Honkai: Star Rail 3.6.
The other rumored 5-star character rerun for Version 3.6 is Anaxa. He doesn’t have any specific synergy with Permansor Terrae, but they could work together, as Dan Heng’s new form is something of a generalist sustain unit. Furthermore, it’s about time Anaxa gets a rerun, so the rumors of him appearing in the next patch make sense. All the banners will be confirmed during the Version 3.6 livestream.
What To Expect From Honkai: Star Rail 3.6 Livestream – Story Updates, Quests, & More
This Will Be An Important Patch In Terms Of Story Content
In addition to the new playable characters and the highly anticipated reruns, the Version 3.6 livestream will also serve as a stage for other update announcements. While HoYoverse will likely not showcase exactly what will happen in the patch’s new story quests, you will get a glimpse of the upcoming Trailblaze Missions via a teaser trailer. Furthermore, the developer should explain how the story arc will play out, even if not entirely.
This should be a big patch for the Amphoreus story arc as it approaches its end. HoYoverse has promised Amphoreus story updates until Version 3.7, so this will be the bridge between the current events and the grand finale. The grand antagonist in the Trailblazer’s journey on Amphoreus is clear, and these quests will likely set the stage for the last main missions in the Eternal Land.
Aside from main story content, the Version 3.6 livestream will also highlight the events that will be added during the patch. These are often detailed to a much larger extent than the main story missions, as HoYoverse goes through the specifics of each event, as well as the rewards. There will also be new Relics in Honkai: Star Rail 3.6, which may help buff some older characters, too.
With two new characters confirmed, strong rerun banners having been leaked, and a load of story and events content to go through, the next update should be a big one. It won’t be as big as the anniversary patch or the one that introduced the Fate collab, but it will be important, as Honkai: Star Rail gears up for the conclusion of its largest story arc yet.
