Marvel Announces Wiccan’s First Solo Series

WandaVision was a massive hit with Marvel fans, shining the spotlight on the beloved yet dangerously unhinged Scarlet Witch and her family. While longtime comic readers have long known about Wanda’s relatives and acquaintances, the series brought them into the mainstream, cementing characters like Agatha Harkness and Wanda’s twin sons, Wiccan and Speed, in the minds of casual fans everywhere.

Wiccan, a.k.a. William “Billy” Kaplan-Altman, has long been a favorite among comic readers, with his popularity only surging after his MCU debut in WandaVision and Agatha All Along. Now Marvel is finally listening to fans and giving the young hero the spotlight with a brand-new solo series coming this winter, and trust us, fans won’t want to miss it.

Arriving December 3, 2025, from the creative team of Wyatt Kennedy and Andy Pereira is Wiccan: Witches’ Road #1, the debut issue of what promises to be an epic five-issue limited series.

With its solicitation for Wiccan: Witches’ Road #1, Marvel teases a dark, macabre journey down the Witches’ Road that will not only reshape Wiccan as fans know him but also “the magical fabric of the Marvel Universe—forever.” This makes the upcoming series feel especially consequential, promising major ramifications for both Billy Kaplan and the overarching lore of Marvel’s mystical side.

Fans will also be glad to know that Wiccan won’t be the only familiar face to appear in this story. His best friend and boyfriend, Hulkling, will also play a role as the two former space emperors return to Earth. However, things quickly take a dire turn when Hulkling is grievously wounded, leaving Wiccan with the heavy burden of saving the day under extreme pressure.

Although Wiccan: Witches’ Road is still months from release, fans can already feast their eyes on the stunning cover art featured above and below. Marvel has revealed the main cover by artist Lucas Werneck alongside two gorgeous variant covers by Luciano Vecchio and Russell Dauterman, each of which has only amplified the mounting excitement surrounding Billy’s upcoming solo series.

Wiccan: Witches’ Road will pick up after Wiccan and Hulkling’s role in Jonathan Hickman’s IMPERIAL, Marvel’s latest cosmic event filled with mystery, war, and the formation of a new galactic order. Following their part in this universe-shaping storyline, the two heroes will finally return to Earth, setting the stage for Billy’s magical and deeply personal journey down the Witches’ Road.

With Hulkling’s life hanging in the balance, Wiccan is forced to embark on a spellbinding descent down the Witches’ Road, “where he’ll face a new enemy and discover his unique role in protecting Earth from magical threats.” This high-stakes premise delivers everything fans could want: one of Marvel’s most beloved couples, a consequential narrative, and a deeper exploration of Wiccan as an individual.

WICCAN: WITCHES’ ROAD #1 is available December 3, 2025, from Marvel Comics!
