Chelsea are in advanced talks to land RB Leipzig playmaker Xavi Simons this summer, according to reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Blues are expected to bolster their attacking department further despite signing Liam Delap, Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens and Estevao.
Talks are advancing with Leipzig for Simons and they are optimistic of securing a deal soon. The Dutchman has already agreed on personal terms.
Simons recently skipped training with Leipzig, and he has made it clear that he wants to join the Blues in time for the new Premier League season.
Chelsea are hoping to sign him for less than £61m. They could recoup part of the funds with Tyrique George moving to Leipzig in a separate deal.
Alongside the 22-year-old, Chelsea are also keen on landing Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United for a potential knockdown price.
The Argentine has made the decision to move on from the Red Devils. It has been claimed that he could be sold for around £40m or even less.
