Xbox Game Studios has revealed that Fable has been delayed from its original 2025 release window to 2026. Fable is a wildly successful franchise, and the upcoming remake of the title has been closely followed by fans as it was supposed to make its debut this year. The action RPG, developed by Playground Games, was initially announced in 2020 and captured the attention of longtime fans and newcomers alike.

In the latest Xbox Podcast, Head of Xbox Game Studios Crag Duncan reveals Fable is getting pushed back to 2026, but there is a silver lining for fans to grab hold of. A brand-new peek at the gameplay within Fable was released alongside this announcement, and Duncan states Fable is worth the wait for those upset over the delay.
