Manchester United have agreed on personal terms with Valencia midfielder Javi Guerra ahead of a potential transfer, according to journalist Daniele Longo.
The Red Devils are likely to strengthen their midfield department this summer and they are focused on signing a versatile option, who can operate centrally and defensively.
Guerra has been linked over the past week and Longo claims that United have a ‘verbal agreement’ with the 22-year-old. However, the club have yet to finalise a fee with Valencia.
The Spaniard has entered the last two years of his contract with Los Che. He has no plans of committing his future with a renewal. This could lead to his departure this summer.
United are closely monitoring his situation and could swoop for his services pretty soon. Valencia are open to selling him for around €25m, but a lower initial fee could be agreed.
AC Milan have also been linked with Guerra, but are unlikely to follow up their interest with the focus now on Club Brugge’s Ardon Jashari.
