Burger King Brings Back S-Tier Drink Alongside New Whopper Twist

Burger King has both something old and something new in store for this summer. From their highly anticipated custom Whopper platform to the return of one of the fan-favorite beverages from last year, the burger chain has curated a plan specifically for fans in the US. Never short of crowd-pleasing launches, Burger King France has collaborated with the hit manga franchise, One Piece, to offer fans two special sandwiches and exclusive anime merchandise earlier this year.

Naruto also had its turn in the spotlight with Burger King France. While the offers didn’t apply to anime fans in the US either time, the burger chain does have a special plan for US fans this summer.

The Frozen Cotton Candy Cloud beverage was first launched in April 2024 (via Burger King) and was only available nationwide for a limited time while supplies lasted. With a hint of blue raspberry, the drink was the perfect refreshment for spring, with an added cold foam available for an additional charge. After its launch, the beverage quickly became the brand’s most popular frozen beverage in years.

Sweet treats are not the only things Burger King has in store for the summer, for a customer-first rollout. On July 9, the brand announced a new heavy lifter on the main menu. Based on the iconic Whopper sandwich, the new BBQ Brisket Whopper has become the first official item from the all-new “Whopper by You” platform, which allows guests to submit their dream Whopper creations.

According to Burger King, the fan-inspired BBQ Brisket Whopper features “a slow-cooked BBQ brisket, crispy onion, American cheese, and a sweet & golden BBQ sauce, all piled on a ¼ lb. flame-grilled beef patty with lettuce, tomato and creamy mayo.”

The item will be available on July 15 to kick off the launch of the highly anticipated “Whooper by You” platform amid McDonald’s chicken-focused menu expansion. The item is offered in junior size as well, with the same ingredients.
