I had an Advent wreath with candles lit for Christmas today and while in the kitchen cooking, the fire alarm started to go off for unclear reasons, only to find out as I walked into the living room, a 3-foot mini inferno it seemed. Immediately grabbed the fire blanket in my kitchen and snuffed it right out. I did get additional water over the top of it, but this saved my house and my family.

Two of my adult children are firefighters and both speak highly of fire blankets and their ability to smother small fires. Taking their advice, I picked up a set of three fire blankets from Kanhiro. I stashed one in my kitchen drawer, one by my pellet grill and smoker, and another in my woodshop. I pray I never have to use them but having them around makes me feel safer.
