Arsenal are expected to hold talks to sign Crystal Palace playmaker Eberechi Eze during the summer transfer window, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.
The Gunners are determined to bolster their attack ahead of next season and Eze has recently emerged as a strong target due to his versatility.
The 27-year-old is an attacking midfielder by trade, but he also has the ability to operate from the left wing or in the central midfield position.
Jacobs now claim that Arsenal are poised to make a formal approach for the England international after positive talks with his representatives.
Eze has a release clause worth £68 million in his contract payable in three instalments, but Arsenal are likely to push for a lower transfer fee.
They are prepared to include a player or two in the deal in order to convince the Eagles to accept a reduced package for the highly-rated star.
Eze has already given the green light to join Mikel Arteta‘s side.
