Federico Chiesa wants to leave Liverpool

Liverpool winger Federico Chiesa wants to leave in the summer transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano. The well-known and well-respected journalist reported on June 7 that the Italy international winger wants to go back to Serie A, and the Italian transfer guru has doubled down on his claim.

Romano wrote on X on June 7: “Understand Federico Chiesa’s priority for this summer transfer window is to return to Italy.

“Chiesa loves Liverpool but limited game time an issue and Italian clubs started contacts to be informed on potential deal conditions.”

Romano added on X on June 20: “Federico Chiesa’s plan remains clear since start of June: he’s set to leave Liverpol with priority to Italy return.”

Chiesa joined Liverpool from Juventus in the summer of 2024. The 27-year-old had injury problems at the Reds last season and could not make an impact for the Premier League champions. The winger was able to make only one start in the Premier League and played just 107 minutes in the Champions League for Arne Slot’s side.
