Rashford wanted by Newcastle on loan

Newcastle United are reportedly keen on landing Manchester United winger Marcus Rashford on a season-long loan deal, according to The Sun.

The Magpies had a tremendous end to the previous campaign. They qualified for the Champions League by virtue of finishing fifth in the league.

The club are now expected to add more quality to their ranks and reports claim that they are keen on landing Rashford on a temporary deal.

The Magpies believe the Red Devils graduate can be persuaded with Champions League football, but a loan deal could be difficult to pull off.

United prefer to offload Rashford on a permanent basis. If they were to consider a loan deal, they could resist doing business with Newcastle.

Newcastle are now direct competitors for the Champions League places and United may not want to strengthen the Tyneside outfit with Rashford.

Rashford was recently on the radar of Barcelona, but the La Liga giants have decided to sign Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao instead.
