Manchester United are preparing a verbal offer for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, according to Fichajes.
The Red Devils have struggled in front of goal this campaign and they have netted only 28 times after 25 matches into the Premier League season.
The club are expected to spend on a marquee striker in the summer, and Osimhen appears to be the priority target.
The striker is presently on loan at Galatasaray where he has impressed with 17 goals and five assists in all competitions.
Osimhen has a release clause worth £100 million in his contract, but that is expected to reduce to £65m from July onwards.
United are ready to trigger the clause at the end of the season, and they are keen to verbally agree terms with the striker.
The Napoli man has a long-term ambition of playing in the Premier League and could be tempted to move to Old Trafford.
His arrival could coincide with the departure of Joshua Zirkzee or Rasmus Hojlund. Both have underperformed upfront this term.
