Lavia fit to face Fulham

Chelsea have been handed a big injury boost ahead of the Premier League derby against Fulham on the road on Sunday.

The Blues have been unconvincing in the top-flight over recent weeks and they are currently sixth in the league table.

Chelsea must return to winning ways this weekend in order to stay in the race for the Champions League positions.

Ahead of the visit of Craven Cottage, manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed that Romeo Lavia is back in training.

However, the Italian added that the Belgian ace could be eased back into action just like Reece James in the last few weeks.

He said: “Romeo is back. He’s training with us and he can be available for Sunday. With him, we’re going to try the same thing that we are trying with Reece.”

The Blues have a tough schedule to end the league campaign. They still have to face Newcastle United, Liverpool and Manchester United.

The club have to be almost flawless during that run to avoid missing out on Champions League football for the second campaign running.
