Preity Zinta’s playful interview with Punjab Kings star Priyansh Arya

After PBKS pulled off against CSK, co-owner Preity Zinta was visibly ecstatic. She made her way to Priyansh for a light-hearted interview that captured hearts. “Aapko mai ek din pehle mili thi to aapne ek shabd nahi bola tha, ekdum silent the aur aapne itni zabardast game kheli, so how is it?,” she asked. Arya’s response was as grounded as it was endearing: “Jab hum mile they to mujhe aapki baatein sunne mein maza aa rha tha isliye mai kuch bol nahi rha tha. Aur game ke baat karein to bahot achi feeling hai, out of the world feeling hai, top of the world feeling hai,”

Punjab Kings’ promising start to IPL 2025

PBKS have made a spirited start to their IPL 2025 campaign, winning 4 out of their first 6 matches and currently sitting comfortably in the top half of the points table. Their season began with an 11-run win over Gujarat Titans, followed by a dominant 8-wicket victory against Lucknow Super Giants. Despite a blip against Rajasthan Royals, where they lost by 50 runs, PBKS bounced back strongly with a sensational win over CSK, thanks to Arya’s stunning century. While they fell short against the explosive Sunrisers Hyderabad, the Kings pulled off one of the most memorable wins of the season by defending just 111 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders, with Yuzvendra Chahal starring with a 4-wicket haul. The emergence of young talents like Arya has further boosted their firepower. With a balanced squad and growing confidence, PBKS are shaping up as serious contenders for their maiden IPL title.
