Aftermath Officially Brings Back Rick Grimes And Daryl Dixon

Airing from 2010 to 2022, The Walking Dead has been a constant companion of many of us growing up, with the hit post-apocalyptic horror show giving us 11 seasons and 177 episodes of blood, gore, heartache, and iconic moments. Despite the main coming to an end, the universe has most certainly not, with multiple spin-off shows airing since, including the currently airing The Walking Dead: Dead City and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.

However, there is no denying that nostalgia is a powerful emotion, and looking back at our original The Walking Dead cast as they first appeared back in season one is enough to trigger bittersweet memories. That being said, what if I told you that there was a way to experience the original cast once again?

Courtesy of The Walking Dead: Aftermath, fans can now head back to the very beginning after Rick Grimes awakes from his coma to see a world completely changed. As the official synopsis reads:

The dead walk. Society has fallen. Survival is all that remains.

Rick Grimes woke from a coma to find the world transformed. Cities abandoned. Families torn apart. The living forced to become something new just to survive. Step into the world of AMC’s The Walking Dead universe and begin your journey where it all started, in an action game shaped by the characters and stories fans know and love.

The Walking Dead: Aftermath is a mobile game for Android which will see you begin your journey on the outskirts of Atlanta and become the fearless leader of a fragile camp that is struggling to endure the ongoing apocalypse. With the constant threat of Walkers and the ever-dwindling supplies, it will be up to you to keep your people alive, and most importantly, help them thrive in the terrifying new world.

Perhaps most exciting is the news that you will get to take on the role of The Walking Dead‘s most iconic characters, such as Rick Grimes himself, as well as Daryl Dixon, Michonne, Glenn, and Maggie. With each survivor offering their own unique weapons and abilities, you will need to master precision, power, and survival instincts in order to make every encounter work in your favor.
