Grand Theft Auto 6 is only a few weeks away from release (a detail that seems rather unbelievable even today) and, perhaps as a direct consequence, fans are being flooded with numerous leaks. Even before the game’s official gameplay reveal, Rockstar had to deal with the now-infamous leaker, Cyberleeks, who took it upon themselves to spread numerous gameplay clips across the internet both in an attempt to showcase the upcoming game and sell their cryptocurrency.
Now, with another massive GTA 6 gameplay leak having dropped, Rockstar is likely still attempting to put out fires as it scrambles its way to the long-awaited and now potentially tainted release date of November 19. Adding to the pile of issues its legal team may need to handle is yet another leak, this time of something we haven’t really seen yet: DLC. Those eager to see what kind of DLC Grand Theft Auto 6 will get may want to pay attention, and those who aren’t bothered can probably still stick around.
Alongside discussing Grand Theft Auto 6’s Metacritic score, leaked and revealed gameplay details, map size, and more, fans have also been ruminating on the potential for DLC, something GTA is no stranger to, but Rockstar rarely dabbles in. GTA 6 has not had any confirmed DLC announced for it, something that shouldn’t come as too big of a surprise considering the game isn’t even out yet. However, fans will be pleased to know that an upcoming piece of DLC has seemingly been leaked.
As revealed by X (formerly Twitter) user Wumpus Central, Rockstar is collaborating with Discord to deliver several themed digital downloads via the social app. The limited-time collaboration event has been dubbed “Hexagon” according to Wumpus Central, and will feature a GTA 6-themed app icon, GTA 6 app theme, and a GTA 6-style custom display name font. This isn’t a terribly surprising collaboration, especially as we’ve already seen Grand Theft Auto 6 collaborate with PlayStation a short while ago.
This is, of course, not the aforementioned Grand Theft Auto 6 DLC. The important detail, and the one most likely relevant to GTA 6 fans, is Wumpus Central’s revealing of a “quest with unknown reward” that “may be coming soon during the campaign too.” We’ve seen this happen before, where Discord users need to perform a series of challenges in-app in order to unlock in-game items. There was, for example, a series of quests tied to the Fortnite Paradise event back in 2022 that unlocked in-game items upon completion.
However, it is also possible that this “quest” could be a Discord Quest, which sees users play a game for a certain amount of time to unlock items used within Discord, such as new avatar decorations. The promotional campaign is allegedly happening between November 17, 2026 (two days before GTA 6’s launch) and December 8, 2026, for free Discord users, or February 15, 2027, for those with Nitro.
It may not be the DLC many hoped for, but it could end up being a fun new weapon skin or unique item of clothing that would otherwise be inaccessible. These types of promotional events happen all of the time, especially with the likes of Call of Duty, and are always a fun bonus for dedicated fans willing to download a new app or buy a packet of Doritos. Still, one can hope that alongside this free Discord collaboration, Grand Theft Auto 6 will also get a fully-fledged DLC.
