Team India players took some time away from cricket for a late-night movie outing in Ranchi ahead of the second T20I against West Indies. The players visited PJP Cinemas at the Mall of Ranchi to watch the newly released Bollywood film “Drishyam: The Conclusion”, also known as Drishyam 3. The outing came a day before the second match of the five-game series, which will be played at the JSCA International Stadium in Ranchi on Friday, October 9.
Shreyas Iyer, Ishan Kishan among Indian stars spotted at movie outing
Several members of the Indian squad were spotted leaving the theatre alongside team officials, staff and security personnel. India look to extend series lead after dominant opening win
India began the series with a convincing eight-wicket victory over West Indies in Lucknow. The visitors were bowled out for 171 in 19.1 overs, with debutant Naman making an immediate impact by claiming three wickets. Kuldeep and Axar also contributed with two wickets each. Iyer then produced a stunning performance with the bat, smashing an unbeaten 102 off just 43 deliveries, including 10 fours and six sixes.
Kishan provided valuable support with an unbeaten 37 off 27 balls as India reached the target in just 14.4 overs. The victory gave India a 1-0 lead in the series, and they will now aim to build on that advantage in Ranchi. The hosts have won three of their four previous T20Is at the venue, although their most recent outing there ended in a 21-run defeat against New Zealand in 2023. India will hope to carry their strong form into the second T20I and take another step towards securing the series.
