Manchester United have been hit with a new injury concern after Patrick Dorgu was forced off during Denmark’s Nations League game against Wales.
The left-sided defender went down unchallenged less than 30 minutes into their game at the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen and was substitued for Mohamed Deramy
Dorgu, who has featured in all five of Man Utd’s Premier League games this season, is the latest injury worry for the Red Devils after captain Bruno Fernandes was also ruled out of Portugal’s game against Norway.
It did not appear to be a serious injury for the 21-year-old, but the fact he went down with no other player around him will concern Michael Carrick.
Dorgu only played six minutes for United last time out but did set up the goal which secured a 1-1 draw at Fulham.
Premier League stars hit with injuries
Dorgu is the latest in a line of Premier League stars to suffer injuries during the international break, with Liverpool also hit with issues for Alexander Isak and Cody Gakpo.
Isak has withdrawn from the Sweden squad to return to his club, with the Reds hoping he will be fit to return for their blockbuster clash with Manchester City in the Premier League next month.
Gakpo was also forced off just 17 minutes into the Netherlands’ Nations League match against Serbia.
