Saliba to return from injury in December?

Arsenal could receive an injury boost on defender William Saliba before the turn of the year, according to RMC Sport.

The centre-back has been on the sidelines since picking up a back injury on World Cup duty with France this summer.

He has yet to return to individual training, but RMC Sport now claim that the Frenchman could feature before the New Year.

There is optimism that Saliba could return to team training in December and could play some part before the year concludes.

The news is a huge boost for the Gunners, who will require his services to defend their Premier League crown this term.

Ezri Konsa has done a tremendous job in the heart of the defence alongside Gabriel Magalhaes since he arrived from Aston Villa.

However, he had a big reality check against Brighton & Hove Albion on the road where he struggled to cope with the intensity.

It was a game where the Gunners missed Saliba’s presence.
