Arsenal and Barcelona explored the possibility of signing Chelsea striker Joao Pedro during the last transfer window.
The Brazil international has been a superb signing for the Blues since he arrived from Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer of 2025.
He netted 20 goals during his debut campaign with the west London giants, and has added another three goals in five appearances this term.
Pedro recently put pen to paper on a long-term contract with the Blues and reports claim that he snubbed high-profile interest prior to that.
Both Arsenal and Barcelona made contact with the versatile forward through intermediaries, but Pedro was quite clear on his transfer stance.
The former Brighton man only saw his future with the Blues and it was a no-brainer decision for him to extend his stay with the London side.
Pedro suffered a minor knee injury before the international break, but he is expected to return to action with the Blues later next month.
