Manchester United have identified Antonio Conte as a possible candidate to replace Michael Carrick as manager, according to Teamtalk.
The Red Devils have had a dismal start to the Premier League campaign and they have picked up only five points from as many matches.
The club’s hierarchy continue to place their faith in Carrick and believe he can turn things around after the ongoing international break.
If that does not happen in the next few matches, there is a possibility that the club could opt for a change at the helm before the New Year.
Conte is highly rated by the Red Devils for his previous achievements in the Premier League as well as in Serie A with several clubs.
He is considered as a high-profile candidate and could get the job if United decide to part ways with Carrick at some point this season.
United are already 10 points behind league leaders Man City and look far off from challenging for the title after just five games in.
