It’s no secret that House of the Dragon has gone a long way to restoring faith in the ability of networks to successfully adapt the works of George RR Martin to a television format. Though it’s a very different offering to Game of Thrones, it does plenty to keep audiences interested, and it should have a pretty consistent run through to the finish from here.

That said, it’s kind of surprising how little the show’s popularity has been capitalized on by other adaptations into different mediums. Though the world of video games seems to be a bit of a pipe dream right now, there is another release that could satiate the same desire for more products connected to the IP, and it’s available to purchase now.

House Of The Dragon Sky Of Fire Is A Board Game Fan’s Dream

Over on the official Zavvi website, you should be able to find the listing for House of the Dragon, Sky of Fire, a new board game from Shuffle Card Games that draws upon many elements of the series. In letting fans know a little about what they can expect from the release, the manufacturer shared the following description:

House Of The Dragon May Not Be Done Yet

It will certainly be interesting to see what HBO plans to do with the House of the Dragon franchise moving forward, given that there have been some criticisms about pacing and the way the story has been delivered up to this point. That said, the baseline popularity is certainly there, and it’s difficult to see why they would abandon it entirely even if we just get additional spin-offs or wider product releases tied to the IP. Whether that means there will be any video games coming down the pipeline remains to be seen, but it would be silly to rule it out entirely at this point.
