Manchester United are plotting a January move for Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy amid concerns over the fitness of Benjamin Sesko.

Sesko was sidelined for an extended period with a shin injury over the summer, and he only returned to the playing field during the new season.

The Slovenian has been in and out of the starting XI for the Red Devils and it is now revealed that he has suffered a recurrence of the same shin issue.

As a result, there are fears that he could be sidelined beyond the international break. His fitness issues mean that United will seek a new striker this winter.

Joshua Zirkzee has failed to meet expectations since his move from Bologna, and he could be sold in early January before the club target a replacement.

Guirassy is the top name on the Red Devils’ radar and it is claimed that United could make a big-money move for the 30-year-old, who has dazzled for Dortmund.

He has already bagged four goals and an assist for Dortmund this term. Overall, he has accumulated 64 goals and 17 assists in just 102 appearances for the club.
