The best horror series on TV has just hit a massive streaming milestone on the way to its final season. Horror is a genre that is having quite the year in 2026. After all, many of the most popular movies of 2026 have come from the horror genre, which include the two huge box office hits Obsession and Backrooms. With small budgets, a talented team, and intriguing concepts, the films found global success, showcasing the genre’s power. Now, it is time for Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil movie to follow in their footsteps, and the fillm seems poised to break franchise records.
While horror is having quite the year on the big screen, the genre is also a top performer on streaming. After all, one of Netflix’s most popular new series of 2026, Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen, is a horror thriller. It followed the success the genre had on streaming at the end of 2025 with HBO Max’s IT: Welcome to Derry. As new horror series like Mike Flanagan’s Carrie on Prime Video and the Friday the 13th prequel series Crystal Lake on Peacock are on the way, TV’s best horror series, FROM, just hit an MGM+ milestone.
From Has Hit A New Streaming High On MGM+
FROM has just passed the milestone of 150 days trending on MGM+’s TOP 10 Overall, from the from Amazon Channels. It takes a gargantuan effort for a project to hit such a milestone, especially since the MGM+ chart is not separated into movies and TV shows, like that of most other streamers. As such, the best horror series on TV has had to fight off huge competition to hang on to the charts for so long. Only the gritty war series SAS Rogue Heroes, which has been compared to HBO’s Band of Brothers, has been trending for a longer time.
SAS Rogue Heroes is currently at a total of 168 days on MGM+’s Top 10. However, the main difference between the two is where they stand in the daily chart, with the horror show dominating the streamer. At the time of writing, FROM is the most-watched movie or TV show on MGM+ in the United States. SAS Rogue Heroes is currently in 7th. The horror series, which boasts a near-perfect 96% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes, also ranks higher than Kit Harington’s A Tale of Two Cities, Titus Welliver’s The Westies, the Stephen King adaptation The Shawshank Redemption, and more.
Season 5 Will Be Its Most Important One Yet
FROM‘s continued streaming success is so impressive because the latest season of the horror series, season 4, aired its finale on June 28. After that, FROM is closing in on three full months on MGM+’s charts without releasing any new episodes. This is a very exciting turn of events for the horror series, as FROM season 5 will be the final entry for the hit show, having been renewed in April. After introducing several mysteries throughout four seasons, FROM season 5 is all about the payoff, with the upcoming season’s goal being to answer all lingering questions, which will be fundamental to the show as a whole.
