Manchester United have found their first goal of the new Champions League campaign.

The Red Devils are returning to Europe’s elite competition for the first time in the new league phase format, and have hit a strong start at Old Trafford.

After qualifying under the guidance of Michael Carrick in the second half of the 2025-26 campaign, United are looking to make a statement to their rivals on the continent that they do pose a threat this term.

And that is proving to be the case, with Matheus Cunha grabbing the club’s first goal of the seaosn.

After some sloppy play at the back, Patrick Dorgu played in Cunha, who slot home from close range.

United added two more goals before half-time, courtesy of Bruno Fernandes and Benjamin Sesko.
