Liverpool pull out of Minteh pursuit and make Ismaila Sarr offer to Crystal Palace

According to multiple sources, Liverpool have pulled the plug on their pursuit of Yankuba Minteh, deeming the demands of Brighton and Hove Albion for the Gambian winger too steep. They’ve now turned their attention to Crystal Palace’s Ismaila Sarr instead, and they’ve already sent an offer of £50 million for his services. Meanwhile, Palace have reportedly turned down two offers from Galatasaray for the 28-year-old winger.

Much like Minteh, as well as the Paris Saint-Germain pair of Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye, Sarr is keen on moving to Anfield.

Liverpool desperately need to boost their wide attacking ranks before the transfer window closes – as head coach Andoni Iraola admitted on several occasions – and it is believed that they want to bring in at least two wingers.

Last season, Sarr scored 21 goals in 45 appearances across all competitions for Palace, helping them win the UEFA Europa Conference League – the first international trophy in the club’s history.
