Villa want Jackson

Aston Villa are prepared to spend £65 million to sign Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson, according to The Telegraph.

The Villans suffered a heavy 4-0 loss to Brighton & Hove Albion in the opening game of the new Premier League season.

They looked short in quality in multiple positions and were without Ollie Watkins, who refused to play for the club up front.

The Englishman is determined to secure a big payday in the Saudi Pro League with Al-Hilal and has told the hierarchy crystal clear.

Villa are now preparing to part ways with their elite striker and have already started talks with Chelsea to land Jackson permanently.

The Midlands outfit have already done business with the Blues, having loaned in Alejandro Garnacho with a conditional buy obligation.

They could sign yet another player from the west London giants, and may need to speed up the Jackson deal with the transfer deadline next week.

Jackson is said to welcome a reunion with Villa manager Unai Emery, having previously played under the Spaniard at Villarreal.
