A new ongoing Deadpool run, Wade Wilson: Deadpool, launched earlier this year and sees the Merc With a Mouth indulging in the pain he endures as a self-inflicted punishment. Deadpool’s witty charm can never be drowned out, yet there’s a sullenness that perforates the book’s comedy, particularly regarding how Wade’s daughter, Ellie, was sucked into a black hole due to his recklessness and a compulsion to be a grating nuisance in anyone’s presence.

Benjamin Percy and Geoff Shaw’s Wade Wilson: Deadpool has done a wonderful job of cutting humor with razor-sharp suspense, and never more so than when Hammerhead had his sights set on killing Blind Al. Althea cemented herself as Deadpool’s best ally in this debut arc, and their official team-up in the near future is proof of how vital she and their relationship are to Deadpool’s character.

Deadpool’s Greatest Ally Is Officially Confirmed In New Series

Wade Wilson: Deadpool’s incomparable Blind Al has had a fairly big role, and it appears as if she’s now graduated to a legitimate companion who’s along for the ride on Deadpool’s adventures since rescuing Deadpool from Hammerhead, as it had been foretold that she would save her best friend’s life. Indeed, it was revealed that Al has been receiving a bunch of premonitions and writing them down in a ‘secret diary.’

We still don’t know where these omens actually came from or how long Al will be instilled with them, but it’s obviously made her a fascinating ally to have. Now, Deadpool and Al are joining forces to become ‘Merc Mobile,’ a traveling mercenary duo. The solicitation for Wade Wilson: Deadpool #10 reads as follows:

ROAD TRIP! DEADPOOL and BLIND AL take MERC MOBILE on the road! No job too big (well, maybe if it’s, like, too difficult or annoying) and no job too small (I mean, as long as the money is huge), Merc Mobile will shoot/save whomever you want! Merc Mobile Is No X-Force, But It’ll Do

Despite how much Deadpool’s longed to be part of a team throughout different incarnations, he arguably works best when his team is rather quaint. For instance, Wade doesn’t have much luck keeping his new squad alive for long in Deadpool 2, where he was responsible for leading an X-Force team that he and Weasel personally recruited until almost all of them are swiftly killed.

The dawn of Deadpool and Blind Al’s Merc Mobile comes abruptly after Wade Wilson: Deadpool’s two-part tie-in for Deadpool and Punisher’s Big Guns crossover event, which begins with Wade Wilson: Deadpool #8 on September 2. The solicitation for Wade Wilson: Deadpool #8 reads as follows:
