Former Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran has joined Benfica on loan from Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr.
Duran joined Al-Nassr from Villa in January 2025 in a deal reportedly worth £71m (€83.5m).
His move to Benfica represents his fifth club in the 17 months since that move, having spent the first half of last season on loan at Fenerbahce before finishing the campaign at Zenit Saint Petersburg.
In total, it is the seventh club of the 22-year-old’s career, with Benfica having the option to make the move permanent at the end of the 2026-27 season.

“I am happy! I continue to say that it is the biggest club in Portugal. I am very grateful to be here,” said Duran.
“I have very high expectations of being here. I want to play well, give my all and become champion.”
Duran scored three goals in just nine games for Zenit after joining in February, having netted five times in his 21 appearances across all competitions for Fenerbahce.
He made a strong start in the Saudi Pro League, scoring eight league goals in half a season, but was still shipped out on loan last term.
