Marvel’s Daredevil & Echo Team Up In New Adventure

As far as Marvel comic book history is concerned, and despite how popular he’s been as a character for the last three decades, Daredevil has never managed to break through and into the same upper-echelon stratosphere that the Marvel Comics’ holy trinity—Spider-Man, Wolverine, and Hulk—have consistently resided in.

That said, it’s undeniable how profoundly special Daredevil is, and Netflix and Disney have finally been embracing him to the fullest in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s currently believed and/or rumored that Daredevil’s Matt Murdock will have a cameo in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, following the character’s incarceration at the end of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2.

However, while it’ll never be surprising to see Marvel take advantage of Daredevil’s popularity from now on, it’s fairly surprising and refreshing that his newest adventure is a team-up with Maya Lopez’s Echo in only a few days from today.

As per the official Asmodee website, a brand-new 276-card expansion for Marvel Champions: The Card Game, Fear No Evil, is available to preorder now for $47.99 and centers around Daredevil and Echo as debut playable heroes, complete with their own prebuilt decks. The expansion launches on July 24, 2026.

Marvel Champions: The Card Game’s giant-sized campaign expansions require the Core Set in order for them to be functionally playable, and they’re all incredibly dynamic in terms of the heroes, villains, and scenarios that are presented. Marvel Champions: The Card Game – Fear No Evil features six scenarios and six villains, which include Bullseye, Electro, Hammerhead, Purple Man, Bloody Mary, and Kingpin. Plus, players can substitute which iconic Marvel villain they’d like to tackle in five of these six scenarios.

While Daredevil’s MCU outings have largely been favorable, if not highly acclaimed, the same cannot be said of Echo, who was treated to a season of TV in her own titular show (where Daredevil had one of his many cameos since being inducted into the MCU proper via Spider-Man: No Way Home). It’s wonderful, then, to see that Marvel hasn’t abandoned Echo, and she’ll hopefully make a fine addition to Marvel Champions: The Card Game in its newest expansion.

Kingpin is the primary villain players confront at the end of Marvel Champions: The Card Game – Fear No Evil’s campaign, but the order in which players battle his “underlings” is interchangeable.

Daredevil also only finally becoming a playable hero in Marvel Champions: The Card Game – Fear No Evil is a testament to how rich and meaty the LCG is, wherein it didn’t feel the need to obligatorily include Daredevil at launch. Rather, having Echo as a playable character now, seven years after this Marvel card game was released (and without anything in the MCU to synergize with, either) should make for an excellent expansion.

Marvel Champions: The Card Game – Fear No Evil is scheduled to be released on July 24, 2026.’
