View Man Utd summer 2026 transfer targets
Manchester United have held initial talks to land the signature of midfielder Manu Kone from Roma this summer, according to L’Equipe.
The Red Devils have already landed two midfielders in Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans this summer, and they are aiming for another addition.
The club ideally prefer a more defensive-minded player and reports claim that Kone is the priority target for the Mancunian giants at the moment.
However, that does not mean that they are preparing an offer. The club want to analyse properly before launching a formal bid for the player.
Kone, on the other hand, wants to sort out his future in the near future. He is eager to play for a Premier League club in the prime of his career.
United are leading Arsenal and two Premier League clubs in the race, but does not want to miss out if the Red Devils pull out of the pursuit.
A quick decision could be required in the next few days.
