This big-city boss is topped with an orange traffic cone in recognition of her city’s new trans-Atlantic kinship with a not-quite-a-country’s visiting fans.

That’s Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey, who arrived at Boston’s Logan Airport on July 14 to welcome the globe-trotting traffic cone — amazingly enough a Glasgow tradition — as a symbol of the new and unlikely friendship between Scotland and her state, which hosted Tartan Army fans over the summer.
