Arsenal unsuccessful with Diomande enquiry

Arsenal reportedly made an enquiry regarding RB Leipzig star Yan Diomande after missing out on Morgan Rogers to Chelsea.

The Gunners were widely touted as favourites to land Rogers from Aston Villa, but the Blues beat them to his signature yesterday.

A club-record deal worth 117 million pounds was agreed with the Villans and Rogers is expected to undergo his medical tomorrow.

Arsenal have suffered an untimely blow in the quest for their top target and now need to turn their attention elsewhere pretty soon.

Fabrizio Romano reports that the north London giants have recently contacted Diomande’s representatives about a possible transfer.

However, the answer was not in their favour. Diomande has already agreed terms with Paris Saint-Germain and wants to join them instead.

Les Parisiens have yet to make a proposal for the talented winger, but it is anticipated that PSG will eventually sort out a fee with Leipzig.

He is expected to cost at least 100 million pounds.
