Everton want White

Everton have earmarked Arsenal right-back Ben White as a potential addition to their defensive department this summer, according to The Athletic.

The England international has been with the Gunners for the past five years but he is widely expected to leave during the ongoing transfer window.

White’s contract expires in less than two years and Arsenal have shown no interest in renewing the Englishman’s stay with an improved deal.

Everton were credited with an interest in White earlier this year, and they are once again contemplating an approach for the former Brighton man.

The 28-year-old is likely to consider a move to Tyneside as the Merseyside outfit could guarantee him with regular playing time next campaign.

The Toffees are looking at Tottenham Hotspur’s Djed Spence too, and it could ultimately come to which player is more affordable for them.

Arsenal will reportedly demand a minimum fee of £25 million to part ways with the former Brighton man, who is open to a new challenge too.
