View Chelsea summer 2026 transfer targets
Chelsea defender Josh Acheampong is open to the possibility of leaving the Blues this summer for regular first-team football.
Acheampong is one of the best graduates in the Blues academy, but he has had limited first-team action due to competition for places.
His situation is unlikely to improve. The Blues have just signed another right-back in the form of Marco Palestra from Atalanta.
They are also keen on landing a new central defender. Talks are ongoing with Crystal Palace regarding a deal for Maxence Lacroix.
Amidst this, Acheampong is seriously considering his future at the Blues, given his minutes could be limited for yet another season.
The youngster, who can operate as a right-back or centre-back, has not ruled out the possibility of joining another Premier League side.
Bayern Munich are also monitoring the youngster’s situation, and they could enter the race if the Blues open the door for his transfer.
Chelsea could make a decision once they sign a new centre-back.
