Acheampong to leave the Blues?

Chelsea graduate Josh Acheampong is considering a new challenge away from the Blues after the club’s recent transfer activity.

The young centre-back was linked with Bayern Munich earlier this month, but the hierarchy made it clear that he was not for sale.

However, the dynamics have since changed. The Blues have agreed to sign a new right-back in the form of Atalanta’s Marco Palestra.

Meanwhile, they have also entered negotiations with Crystal Palace for centre-back Maxence Lacroix, who could join pretty soon.

Acheampong, who is primarily a central defender, can also play as a right-back. With two new additions, he is seriously considering an exit.

Chelsea continue to maintain its not-for-sale stance, but the youngster is planning to push for a departure by handing in a transfer request.

If such a situation arises, the Blues could hold out for at least £50m to part ways with the Englishman. Aside from Bayern, Liverpool are said to be keeping a close eye on his situation in west London.
