Line-ups, stats and preview for Selecao's Maracana send-off

Brazil will play their final game on home soil before travelling to the World Cup when they host Panama at the Maracana.

The Selecao are aiming to win the title for the sixth time, though they have not lifted the trophy since doing so in 2002.

Carlo Ancelotti’s strong start to life as their head coach has increased expectations that this group could be the one to end the 24-year wait.

Drawn against Morocco, Scotland and Haiti in Group C, Brazil will be expected to cruise through the group stage in North America and, though an injury to Neymar has put a dampener on their preparations, a strong performance against Panama would be an ideal way to improve the mood.

Brazil will face an arguably sterner test in their final pre-World Cup friendly against Egypt in Cleveland next weekend.

However, Panama will have designs on proving they deserve to be taken seriously going into the World Cup.

Panama are set to compete in the finals of a World Cup for only the second time, having lost all three of their group games in Russia in 2018.

Drawn alongside England, Croatia and Ghana in Group L, they are expected to have a difficult time improving on that performance, but confidence that they can make an impression in a tough group will improve if they can frustrate Brazil in their farewell game.
