View Man City summer 2026 transfer targets
Manchester City could make a summer raid for Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella under the recommendation of incoming manager Enzo Maresca.
The Cityzens are expected to confirm Pep Guardiola‘s departure this summer. The legendary Spaniard has decided to call time on his managerial career at the Mancunian giants.
Maresca is poised to replace him, and the Italian is set to demand a new left-back despite the emergence of Nico O’Reilly. Cucurella is on his radar, and Man City could make an approach.
Cucurella has previously criticised the Blues’ transfer policy and insisted that the club should make marquee signings rather than recruit emerging talents with plenty of potential.
Chelsea have considered Cucurella as an indispensable figure, but reports claim that new manager Xabi Alonso won’t stop the Spaniard from leaving if the right offer is made this summer.
Jorrel Hato has been pretty good as a backup in recent months, and the Blues are prepared to spend big on another left-back if Cucurella makes the switch to Man City or any other club.
