Chelsea are prepared to part ways with midfielder Romeo Lavia amid his persistent injury concerns.

The Belgian signed for the Blues from Southampton three years ago, but he has made only 29 Premier League appearances thus far.

Lavia has suffered numerous injuries during his time at the Blues and picked up another before the FA Cup final against Manchester City.

It is now reported that the hierarchy have decided to cut their losses on the midfielder, who cost them £55 million from the Saints.

Marseille and Borussia Dortmund are interested, and he could be allowed to leave for half the price he was purchased in 2023.

The Blues have already started the hunt for a proper replacement and West Ham‘s Mateus Fernandes is one of the top candidates.

The interest in Fernandes is growing steadily with Arsenal and Manchester United also keen on landing the versatile midfielder.

Fernandes is expected to push for an exit regardless of West Ham‘s league status, come the end of the final matchday this weekend.
