Kingdom Come: Deliverance 3 Officially Announced

Launched back in 2025 as a sequel to 2018’s Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 found itself becoming one of the most celebrated game releases of the year. Developed by Warhorse Studios, it sold a whopping two million copies within its first two weeks of launch, and was even selected by PC Gamer as Game of the Year.

Set immediately after the events of the first game, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 follows the story of Henry of Skalitz as he continues on his quest for justice amid the civil conflict between King Wenceslas IV and his half-brother, Sigismund of Hungary. Taking place across two vast regions set against an open-world, players can experience an expansive RPG, with realistic combat, political tension, and a dynamically responsive world.

Well, if you loved Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and are eager to see how Henry of Skalitz’s adventure continues, then you are in luck, as Warhorse Studios made a major announcement earlier this morning. Not only has the studio revealed that it is working on an “open world Middle-earth RPG”, but it seems as though Kingdom Come: Deliverance 3 is officially in development, or at least, a “new Kingdom Come adventure.”

For now, that is all the information we have about both projects, but there is no denying that the hype is real, and fans have taken to social media to share their thoughts. “The next 5-7 years: The Elder Scrolls VI, KCD3, Warhorse’s Middle-earth game, The Witcher 4. We are so back!” One fan announced. “Kingdom Come is amazing. I have faith in you,” another fan said simply.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance III?!” Another fan exclaimed. “I will keep saying it: KCD2 is one of the best games I’ve ever played, especially for its immersive world and amazing combat. Cannot wait to see how Warhorse knocks it out of the park.”

An amazing game it is, as we at Screen Rant awarded Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 which an epic 9/10. In their review, our very own Leo Faierman called the beloved sequel “a stunning simulation and two-fisted history lesson.”

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will inspire anyone willing to afford it patience in this regard, and they’ll be rewarded by an open-world game with so much more to offer than cut-and-paste fetch quests and dungeons. It’s a real-deal action RPG, an elegant European history lesson, and a solid simulation whose boundaries are worth testing and teasing until they break.

So, there you have it! Kingdom Come: Deliverance 3 is officially in development, marking an exciting time for fans of the beloved RPG series. Let us just not think about a potential release window, hm?
