If you told me two years ago that I’d be writing about jelly shoes with a straight face, I would have laughed. These were the shoes of childhood translucent, slightly sweaty, entirely unserious. And then Jennifer Lawrence wore a pair from The Row, the Olsen twins followed, Chloé put them on the runway, and suddenly jelly shoes weren’t a joke anymore. They were a trend.
Here’s what’s different this time around, the 2026 versions don’t look like the ones you wore to day camp. Modern jelly shoes come in flat Mary Janes, lattice sandals, kitten-heel mules, and platform slides all designed to actually work with real outfits. They’re lightweight, easy to clean, surprisingly comfortable, and they photograph incredibly well (there’s a reason they’re all over your feed right now).
The question most women have isn’t whether jelly shoes are back it’s what to actually wear with them. So here are the outfit formulas that work.
